Betting on the Euro CupEuro 2008 promises to be one of the more exciting competitions in recent memory, featuring many of the top teams in the world. Germany may be the favorite heading into the tournament as they will have a relatively easy pool. The Italian side will be brimming with confidence after winning the World Cup in 2006, but they will be in tough company in a pool with France and Holland. Spain is always a threat, but perhaps the team to watch in the tournament will be Portugal and superstar Cristiano Ronaldo. Before you make your picks there are some key points to remember when betting on the Euro Cup.

Betting on the MoneylineBetting on soccer is a little different from betting on other sports. Moneyline wagers have three outcomes: You can pick either of the two teams to win, or you can pick a draw. Remember, if you do not pick a draw and the game ends in a tie, you will lose your wager.
Game Time FrameAll games are official for wagering purposes after 40 minutes of the second half have been completed. Unless otherwise specified, the score at the end of regulation play - that is, 90 minutes plus injury time - will be used when settling all wagers. Any results from extra time, golden goals or penalty shootouts are not included.
