Melissa Mewdell has written about sports only once in her life. She was promptly fired. This hasn’t stopped her from dominating her fantasy sports leagues, though. That’s because sports is all about luck. Melissa only picks basketball teams with big-handed players because, to Melissa, that’s what basketball is all about. If Melissa had to quote someone other than herself about her philosophy regarding the NBA, it would be Dennis Rodman, and he once said: “Fifty percent of life in the NBA is sex. The other fifty percent is money.”
On that, Melissa wishes her life was as exciting and easily divisible as life in the NBA. Her life is 11 percent sex, 25 percent money and 64 percent luck (resulting in the aforementioned sex and money).
When she isn’t finding hundred dollar bills on the street, Melissa tends to her four-leaf clover patch, plays horseshoes at the old folks’ home and enjoys word-based board games.
